The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Superintendent to oversee the successful execution of construction projects in Denver. Avalon Parker is a new construction project with 312 units (4-story, 3-story, and 2-story product), and a stand-alone Clubhouse with Pool and other amenities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to coordinate and direct the work of multiple teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the job site. Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety among all team members.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the implementation of quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies.
  • Schedule Management: Create accurate project schedules and manage project stakeholders / trade partners for adherence to the schedule.  Regularly update project schedule and make course corrections as necessary to achieve established milestones.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure all parties understand their roles and responsibilities and work collaboratively to achieve project goals.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all project activities, including schedules, budgets, change orders, and inspections. Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process. Develop and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
