The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Manager of Asset Management to join our team. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain broad and deep exposure to real estate operations. You will work closely with Asset Managers and partner with cross-functional teams including Investments, Development, Construction, Operations, Risk Management, Legal, Design, Data Analytics, Finance, Procurement, Corporate Responsibility, and Affordable Housing. This role offers a growth trajectory into corporate or regional asset management or other functional areas within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and update detailed financial analyses of real estate assets using discounted cash flow analysis, IRRs, equity multiples, and other financial metrics.
Lead SWOT discussions with stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities, while supporting property-level investment planning.
Partner with various teams (e.g., Retail, Ancillary Services, Design, Parking) to optimize asset value.
Utilize PowerBI and other analytical tools to identify trends, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
Perform property-level market valuations and coordinate external broker opinions of value (BOVs) and appraisals.
Support portfolio-level analytics for reviews, assessments, and strategic initiatives.
Assist with the administration and implementation of processes such as annual CapEx budgeting and investment planning.
Recommend improvements to processes and promote best practices across functions.
Conduct market research to stay informed on competitive properties, market trends, and key economic drivers.
Collaborate on asset valuations and contribute to the annual budgeting process to ensure alignment with business goals.
Perform periodic site visits and support the execution of asset management initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
4+ years of relevant experience in asset management, financial analysis, or real estate investment.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and other data analysis tools.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and functions.
Experience with large-scale real estate portfolios is a plus.
