The Role
As Senior Manager, Architecture, you will lead the architectural design production and documentation of multifamily residential projects—from concept through Design Development (DD). This role focuses on translating design intent into clear, coordinated documents that inform constructability, pricing, and technical feasibility. You’ll work across podium/wrap, garden, and townhome typologies; collaborate with internal development, construction, and operations teams; and coordinate with external consultants to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and buildable designs.
You will also oversee accessibility compliance across development and redevelopment projects and manage the creation and maintenance of the company’s design standards, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and design excellence across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of design and technical documentation through the Design Development (DD) phase for multifamily residential projects (podium/wrap, garden, townhome)
Manage coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, civil, and interior design teams to ensure alignment of design intent and technical feasibility
Translate conceptual and schematic design into detailed, buildable documents that communicate scope, intent, and constructability.
Provide quality control of design drawings and details to ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy
Collaborate closely with development, construction, operations teams, and external design consultants to align architecture with cost, schedule, constructability, and long-term performance objectives
Review and ensure accessibility compliance (federal, state, and local requirements) across all development and redevelopment projects
Stay current on codes, BIM/Revit workflows, and multifamily design and construction trends
What You Bring
8+ years of architectural experience in multifamily residential design with specific emphasis on podium/wrap, garden, townhome product typologies
Proven ability to produce and coordinate design documentation through Design Development (DD) and early Construction Documentation (CD) phases
Strong Revit/BIM production and coordination skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate design intent clearly and manage multi-disciplinary coordination
Licensed Architect (or working toward licensure) preferred
Excellent leadership, organizational, and mentorship abilities
Comfortable working in a collaborative, developer-led environment with integrated teams
