Administer ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager across the portfolio, ensuring platform health, access, and best practices
Safeguard data integrity—validate, reconcile, and maintain multiple utility data sources for completeness and accuracy
Coordinate municipal & ENERGY STAR submissions—manage the calendar, database of required communities, and annual certification packages
Power ESG reporting (GRESB)—maintain internal tools, compile inputs, and meet deadlines with high-quality, audit-ready data
Analyze consumption trends—energy, water, and waste—to identify hotspots, quantify savings, and surface efficiency opportunities
Align efficiency initiatives with the business—map opportunities to OpEx reductions, CapEx plans, and available rebates in partnership with Operations, Asset Management, and Construction
Enable stakeholders—collaborate across departments to advance sustainability goals with clear communication and practical, data-backed recommendations
Contribute broadly—support related tasks and continuous improvement efforts as needed
What you’ll bring:
Education: Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Economics, or related field (academic performance considered)
Experience: 2+ years in energy management, sustainability reporting, utility data analysis OR Finance/Economics
Tools & frameworks: Proficiency with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager (preferred); familiarity with ESG frameworks (GRESB, SASB, CDP; TCFD exposure a plus)
Industry: Experience in real estate/property management preferred
Data fluency: Advanced Excel; Power BI (or similar visualization tools) a plus
Strengths: Rigorous analytical skills (including financial/variance analysis); process design and improvement; prioritization and workload management; vendor coordination; excellent communication and presentation
Growth mindset: Quick to learn how the business works, connect the dots across teams, and mobilize the right internal resources to get things done
